Launch Products

This production plan gives me just over a week to work on the project on top of the three weeks I have already put into the project so far. It starts with using the evaluation of the current design to use aspects of the design that the target audience liked. Then goes onto production of the design along with reviews and then into the launch date.

B) Launch date

The launch date for Polar Pandas new album is going to be Friday the 15th of December. The reasoning for this is to have it out before christmas and have enough time beforehand for consumers to be able to purchase the album as a present. It is also released in time for people who get music streaming services for christmas to be able to listen to it and still be in the new/discover section of the site/app.

C) Legal and ethical issues

Legal:

One legal issue for my product is that the album that Polar Pandas are releasing some of the songs contain swear words and as a result I will need to take in consideration the legal aspects of this in my work. As a result I will include the Parental advisory logo/text in the album art for the release. I will not put it on the poster as this poster is not intended for advertising purposes but collections, whereas the album art will be promoting the product online and in the store. This is because in some of the target markets abroad, which require this logo to be present on products containing explicit content, so as a safety precaution it will be on all copies of the album.

Ethical:

One Ethical issue is much the same at the legal issue with the Explicit content mark being on the album cover. This, in markets such as the UK where the logo is not a legal requirement, due to ethical considerations, such as is a parent bought the album for their teenage child without looking deeply into the CD so see that the content inside contains explicit content. This therefore will help prevent people buying the CD for people that the content is not appropriate for. Such as buying as a present ETC.
